He has a Master's degree in Intellectual Property from the Franklin Pierce Law Center. He was a Contestant and Judge in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition� Washington, D.C., U.S.A. He worked at the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica as an Advisor and Negotiator of international trade agreements in the areas of services and investment including the Costa Rica-Chile Free Trade Agreement, bilateral investment agreements with Finland, South Korea, and Switzerland. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Professionals in Intellectual Property of Costa Rica.
